Who makes souvenirs? Artists do.

Many of my clients for illustration since the 1980’s have been souvenir manufacturers.  Most of my work was sold in national parks, destination resorts, and ski and golf resorts.

Snow or water globes have become popular as souvenirs lately.  This is a sketch for a souvenir for Colorado destinations.  The final piece will be cast in resin and available later this year.  One aspect of globes that is different is creating a front and back of each concept.

This one of mountains, elk, moose, aspen grove, and an aspen trunk base will be followed by a winter scene globe.  When I have photos of the finished item, I’ll post them.

Here is the sketch of the back of the globe.
