Rest In Peace, Steve Jobs, and THANK YOU for the Mac I love

It’s hard to even know what to say about the sad passing of Steve Jobs.  I have said many times, “I love my Mac”.  I am offended that people consider the admiration of the incredible talent and ingenuity of Steve Jobs as “cult-like”.  I have helped people get out of real cults, organizations that damage people, and admiring the inventions of Steve Jobs does not create a cult.  I’m side-tracked here, as I am struggling to find the right words to say how sad it is to see the passing of someone who was such a visionary, who kept working at providing the tools for design and communication that so many artists use.

I am struck that he is about four years younger than me.  We need to treasure each day we have of life while we are here.

Thank you, Steve Jobs, for giving me all the Macs I’ve loved since I started designing on computers in the early 1990s.  We will miss you.

One Response to Rest In Peace, Steve Jobs, and THANK YOU for the Mac I love

  1. I am not a MAC user, Alice, but my older son is. I know what an impact Steve’s vision has had on our world & I do find myself grieving. He was an extraordinary individual. I, also, noticed, like you, that Steve was younger than me. It causes one to reflect on one’s life & the way it is lived. We each just get one day at a time & each is precious! Thanks for your lovely tribute!

    love,

    Barbara
