Artists Have Bills & Can’t Work For Free

I was inspired by a similar poster to make this design and offer it on mugs, tees, cards, prints, magnets, and more at Cafepress.  Too often, creative workers are expected to give their work away.  We have bills to pay like everyone else and can’t afford to work for free.  The typeface is from MyFonts and is called Veneer, similar to a letterpress print (but missing that lovely three dimension real letterpress has).

  1. So true. Funny what society values. (Is this ironical?)

Congratulations on your cafepress store. I don’t get people asking me for actual work but they expect free lessons and entertainment, a different form of working for free.
